This was a good old fashioned English Country Fair and even though it was well into September the day was warm and dry and enormously pleasant.
The fair was extremely well attended. It was great to see so many people out for the day supporting this annual event.
After lunch a two-minute silence was observed to respect the passing of The Queen, Elizabeth 2nd (1926-2022)
It is a very picturesque location. Frampton on Severn is known for having the longest village green in England and is about 22 acres in size. It is a conservation area and has two pubs on the green which is convenient when cricket is being played.
Oakhurst Gin was in the Country Kitchen tent with lots of other fine food and drink. The tent was very busy all day with visitors sampling and buying goods to take home. We were opposite a large cheese stand who entertained us all day with loud proclamations about the varieties on offer!
Oakhurst Gin, our hand-crafted London Dry Gin was available in both 70cl and 20cl sizes at the Oakhurst Living stand.
The day saw many enjoying lots of family fun. There was a funfair and a fabulous old-fashioned Helter -skelter. Lots of countryside skills displays and so many animals including pigs and lamas. There were working dog groups, Beagles, Clumber Spaniels, Otter Hounds and Basset Hounds
